The Victim Whisperer: Dealing with the Perpetually Unhappy

May 20, 2012

This is an interesting post from Randy Gage (http://www.randygage.com/blog) about dealing with people who are perpetual victims.  His advice about cutting the victims out of lives might be tough if they are family members, however his message about limiting the power of victims is right on the money.  Make no mistake that victims gain power merely by being identified as victims.  We need to have compassion for people who have suffered or been victimized, but when they put on the victim identity it is dangerous.  This is a provocative piece as we think about our children, spouses, friends and co-workers.  Enjoy.
